That's what I thought at first too, but I think it's an interesting concept and I enjoyed there layout and think it could be something really cool if they toned it down a bit.
tbh i dont like any of the online mags. U magazine's photoshopping looks pretty easy compared to, for example, justjr's bonjour jr. at the same time i get bored at looking at either because all them are just recycled images. and U magazine doesn't really have much content (ie anything, show reviews, trends of the season, etc)
what? idgi. were those just the graphic spreads or was that the entire issue? all i saw were cut up editorials, ryan mcginley photos, and website photos underneath old mgmt, antony & the johnsons, the strokes, and rihanna lyrics. at least have some nice typography if there aren't any articles.
