Victoria’s Secret Angel Constance Jablonski Sued for $3.3 Million By Model Agency

She may have worn wings at last year’s Victoria’s Secret show but model Constance Jablonski is no angel, according to her agency anyway: Marilyn Model Management is suing the stunner for $3.3 million, alleging she violated her three-year contract to work with rival firm DNA Model Management, the Daily News is reporting.

According to Marilyn’s suit, the 21-year-old French model ditched the agency last month to work with competitor DNA, despite the fact that she had signed an agreement to stay with Marilyn until September 2014.

Considering that Jablonski has scored lucrative gigs with Estee Lauder, Victoria’s Secret and Calvin Klein, her departure from Marilyn would have no doubt been a considerable blow to the agency’s earnings. The suit alleges that it was under the agency’s tutelage that Jablonski went from “virtually unknown model” to a top-earning star in the industry [Ed note: We think her piercing blue eyes and crazy long legs may have helped too.]

The model signed with Marilyn in 2008, and scored her first big gig as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010. In 2011, she signed a three-year extension with Marilyn, which the lawsuit claimed guaranteed her spot on the firm’s talent roster through next year.

Of course, the 21-year-old French model isn’t the only one to blame: DNA, the lawsuit charges, lured Jablonski away under false pretenses.

“DNA is … unlawfully attempting to seize the coveted relationships that Marilyn has created and fostered for Jablonski,” the lawsuit states.

What’s more: Marilyn says it’s personal. “DNA’s wrongful conduct is for the purpose of destablizing Marilyn’s business, and causing irreparable damage to its image (and) reputation.”

Which is why, along with the $3.3 million in damages, Marilyn is also seeking an injunction banning DNA from representing Jablonski.

Is it just us or does it sound like the conflict is more between Marilyn and DNA than Marilyn and Jablonski?

Marilyn will not comment on the suit. We’ve reached out to DNA and will update when we hear back.
